Fan Lab
Unveiling the world of microorganisms

LINK

The Fan laboratory mainly studies the plant beneficial bacteria. Our interest covers a wide range of respectives of the bacteria including antagonism, biocontrol application, biofilm formation, and molecular mechanisms of their interaction with plants. Using the model organism, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (B. velezensis) FZB42, we are now investigating the roles of non-coding RNAs in spore-forming bacteria. We also investigate regulatory mechanisms that govern antibiotic production in this potent biocontrol strain.
