B. velezensis (amyloliquefaciens) FZB42, the model strain for plant-growth promoting Bacilli, stimulates plant growth and suppresses soil-borne plant pathogens. The strain was sequenced in 2007 (Chen et al.Nature Biotechnology 25, p1007–1014,2007) as the first example for Gram-positive plant-associated Bacilli. In order to celebrate this event, we offer here the possibility to get access to the data known about this bacterium. We thank Jörg Stülke, University of Göttingen, for help and the permission to follow the famous SubtiWiki frame in order to present the genomic data known for FZB42. We are thankful for any comment aimed to improve this website.
